Featured local: Nanke
Our current featured local is Nanke from Utrecht (Netherlands). To learn more about Nanke and here local place we did a short interview.
Tobelocal : Which important feature of Utrecht can we see behind you?
Nanke: I am standing in front of the Dom tower. You can see it from far off. It's the tower that belongs to the Martini church. Saint Martinus is the patron saint of Utrecht.
Tobelocal: Is this a place you would advice visitors to go?
Nanke: I certainly would. You haven't been to Utrecht if you did not visit this tower. The view from the top is amazing. (when the weather is fair of course)
Tobelocal : Do you have any suggestions for people that want to be local in Utrecht?
Nanke: Now if you really want to learn more about my Utrecht, you'll have to visit Lombok. It is the cultural meltingpot of Utrecht. There's all sorts of little groceryshops and nice cafés. Especially the Kanaalstraat is a vibrating street. People from all over the world live and work there. Many artists settled down in this area.
